The idea originated where one would least expect it: after a skiing accident, during rehab, on a bike. Our managing director rediscovered cycling during this phase and encountered a problem many are familiar with: lubricating the bike chain was cumbersome, messy, and unnecessarily complicated.

What began as a personal experience became the starting point for a clear idea: chain care had to be simpler.

Together with our own engineers and experts from LUBAC Schmiersysteme GmbH, a company with decades of experience in developing industrial lubrication systems, we developed a new product that focuses on the simple, clean, and precise application of chain oil to bicycle chains: the 14lakes Chain Lubrication Pen.
